Towards responsible tourism and sustainable development
Together, let’s take action to preserve our environment and reduce our impact on nature through simple everyday gestures – for us, for you, and for future generations.
Water management
Water is a precious resource, and we have taken a number of measures to reduce consumption:
- All our taps and showers are equipped with flow reducers to limit wastage.
- We have installed timer systems for the sinks and showers in the washrooms, and double-push flush mechanisms in the toilets.
- We do not water the grassy areas of Domaine Papillon, which are naturally composed of species adapted to the local climate.
Saving energy
To reduce our carbon footprint, we have integrated sustainable energy solutions:
- Part of our electricity is generated by solar panels installed on the roof of the bar-restaurant.

All building lighting is fitted with low-energy LED bulbs, reducing our energy consumption.

We use solar lighting wherever possible.

The washrooms and dishwashing area are equipped with motion detector lights and timers to avoid wastage.

We make our customers aware of the importance of switching off lights and electrical appliances when not in use.
Waste management
We have set up several initiatives to limit waste production and encourage recycling:
- Selective sorting points are located throughout the campsite, with specific garbage cans for glass, plastic, paper and organic waste.
- In each rental unit, you’ll find sorting garbage cans and a container for compostable waste.
- Organic kitchen waste (except meat) is composted and reused on site.
- We encourage the use of reusable containers and have banned single-use plastics.
- Our chickens eat the restaurant’s bio-waste.
- We have held the “Zero Waste Tourism” label since 2023.
Bar/Restaurant
- The restaurant offers a menu emphasizing seasonal, local and short-run produce
- We encourage our customers to bring their own containers for takeaway orders
- We use ecolabelled cleaning products that respect the environment and food standards
- Selective sorting is of course applied in the restaurant and kitchen
Customer well-being
- Our convenience store offers basic necessities, as well as local products
- We use ecological and biodegradable cleaning products for campsite maintenance, purchased in bulk or by eco-refill
- Our cleaning products are all eco-labelled, guaranteeing better air quality and reduced health risks
- Our rental accommodation is entirely non-smoking, and the use of electronic cigarettes is also prohibited
- We can point you in the direction of local markets where you can find seasonal produce, while supporting the local economy.
Preserving the natural environment
- We use no phytosanitary products to maintain our green spaces.
- We provide refuges for birds and other beneficial organisms thanks to our numerous natural hedges
- Mowing is postponed to later dates in certain areas of the campsite to allow the flora and numerous butterflies to flourish.
- We have followed the recommendations of the Parc régional des Causses du Quercy, using only timed, ground-level lighting outside to minimize disturbance to nocturnal fauna (bats, birds of prey, insects, etc.).
Social commitment and solidarity
- We give priority to hiring seasonal staff who live in our commune or in the Grand-Figeac community of communes, in order to reduce travel distances and promote proximity.
- We take care to work with local craftsmen for our renovations and creations, and gladly choose quality second-hand furniture whenever possible.
These commitments testify to our desire to contribute to tourism that respects the environment and the health of all.
